It’s double-sided so when you wear one side out you can flip it and use the other side with a new belt. You’re best to use this new treadmill deck with a new treadmill belt and it will need lubricating between the two parts before you use the treadmill. You need to use 100% liquid silicone treadmill lubricant and will need to lubricate approximately every 2-3 months depending on usage and climate. Why does the treadmill deck wear out? Treadmill decks wear with treadmill belts because the treadmill belt rotates around the treadmill deck. And when your feet contact the treadmill belt they connect the belt and deck together with the belt sliding along the decks surface. That’s why you need to lubricate between these two parts.
